RUBBER COATED MEASURING TAPE 5 MTS UDUKE

5 m (16 ft) tape measure with a 19 mm wide blade and a rubber-coated case in black and yellow. Used for taking measurements in construction, the workshop, carpentry, installations and maintenance work.

The rubber coating protects the case and gives a firmer grip. It has a lock button on the front to hold the tape at the measurement, and a metal hook at the tip to catch the edge of the piece.

Tips

• Guide the tape as it retracts: do not let it snap back, because the impact of the hook wears it out and can throw off the tip.
• Engage the lock before reading or marking so the tape does not move.
• Keep the tape clean and dry; if it gets wet, dry it before retracting it to prevent rust.
• Do not bend the tape sharply or step on it: it creases and loses stiffness.
• Watch the edges of the tape when retracting it: they are metal and can cut.
